To clear your arrears of £600…press 2

By the time you finish reading this blog, someone will be declared bankrupt.

No, you haven’t misread that. Every four minutes one person in the UK will be declared insolvent or bankrupt. And if the predictions of interest rate rises are correct, things could get a lot worse. (This won’t necessarily happen: economists often can’t predict things better than anyone else).

Should parents feel guilty about allowing their kids to use their mobile phones for games?

Apparently our kids know how to use an iPad before they can tie their own shoe laces. Brilliant or shocking?

Having recently user tested an app in a nursery school it’s been a revelation how quickly toddlers are adopting technology that their carers are often too intimidated to pick up.

I have to admit I’d be pretty miffed if my child could hit top score on Angry Birds whilst I’m bent over tying his laces, but you’ve got to admit – this technology is not going away (nor should it) and you either get on board or get left behind.

Can a great school exist without great teachers?

What’s your strongest school time memory? Well, the one after sneaking behind the bike sheds – chances are it’s a great teacher. I always find it amazing that a brief interaction over only a few years can stay with you for a life time.

I’m yet to watch ‘Waiting For Superman‘ but if this trailer is anything to go by it’s definitely on my list.

We recently had the opportunity to pitch on a project along these lines – Inconvenient Truth meets the opening credits from Juno. The project never happened but it was a blast developing ideas for it.
